Lights for Life NICU Campaign comes to a Close

Lights for Life has done it again. Thanks to amazing support from area businesses and individuals, the LRMC Foundation is proud to announce that we will surpass our original goal of $450,000 for the Lights for Life NICU project. In fact, the Foundation expects to grant over half a million dollars in support at the close of the campaign.
This couldn't come at a better time in that the current NICU is slated for a major renovation in the next few years. The unit will be expanded to allow for more family privacy and comfort as well as a safer, quieter, and more stable environment for critically-ill newborns.
Funds from the Foundation will purchase 15 brand new convertible beds for the unit upon its completion. With the additional funds, the unit will be able to purchase compementary technology and/or some added features on the beds like phototherapy lights for each station.
Although the Foundation has reached our original goal, needs still exist for the new unit - such as a central monitoring system and other decor items. If you are interested in supporting the NICU, please contact the Foundation for more information.
The Foundation thanks our Lights for Life chairman, Hunt Berryman, as well as our committee of community volunteers for their help in making this campaign a big success. We also thank all of the families who have shared their input and their stories throughout the last three years.
