December 01, 2008

Ken Menefee, executive director of Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation, has achieved the designation of Fellow of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.

The FAHP program is designed to elevate professionalism, enhance individual performance, and designate exceptional health care fundraising professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of health care resource development and management. The Fellows program demonstrates the highest level of professionalism in healthcare fundraising.

To earn the FAHP designation, one must successfully complete a two-step program, which includes developing an individual certification plan and passing both a written and oral examination.

Ken has been involved in healthcare philanthropy for 29 years and previously served as Senior Vice President, Foundations for Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN. Ken joined AHP in 1980 and has held numerous positions, including regional conference education chair, Education Track Dean and Regional Treasurer.
